This clock has gotten harder and harder to find as years go by. This 1930s General Electric (GE) cyclometer, or "poppy digital," electric desk clock features scrolling digits that pop slowly into place the last second by a spring loaded mechanism inside. It features a dark Bakelite plastic case and an engraved metal front panel with an Art Deco design.
The clock was designed by Edgar Bourquin. It was produced by Telechron, which was later acquired by GE, who manufactured this one. It works great! What’s really cool is that instead of a second hand, this clock has a partially exposed second counter disk that is displayed through a glass lens. It gives the clock additional dynamic movement.
Overall the clock is in good shape with the exception of diamond stickers which have disintegrated over time on the top and sides of the clock. See pics. The original fabric cord has been replaced by a modern plastic one. Also, It could use a wiping down, too. I leave that to you. Measures 6x4x4.
